Arise means to get up , 6965 Hebrew prime. root koom, The word is requiring physical movement.to get up from a place of rest and take action. The term arise can signify awakening as well. So today take action his beloved and wake up spiritually. and go deeper in your relationship with him.
Our History
Light in the Darkness Ministry was founded in 2026 birthed from the heart of God. My husband Devin, and I have travailed in prayer and obedience to bring this ministry into existence . Over the years we have facilitated numerous ministry initiatives to fulfill God's calling including organizing fundraisers to support families in need. I have worked extensively with wounded women for about 30 years, walking along side them in healing and restoration. The father also opened the door for me to teach and mentor Armenian women for about 15 years, Together we gained extensive experience teaching and working with children. Though we have faced many challenges through out our journey, we remained stead fast in our core values and beliefs over the years. We are eternally grateful for the privilege of being used by the king of kings to serve his people and advance the kingdom. To Him be the glory, power, wisdom and might forever and ever. Matthew 28;18-20

Hepzibah Dacia Calkins
Hepzibah Dacia Calkins has been actively in serving the Lord for over 30+years. She grew up in a home where God was not present, but at the age of 23 she encountered the Lord in a powerful dream. At the age of 26 she fully committed her life to Christ. Since then, God has faithfully walked her through a transformative journey of healing, deliverance, restoration and wholeness. Through this process, Dacia has learned that God is truth worthy and that nothing is impossible for Him. The Lord placed it on her heart to step out in faith and join him in the work He is doing on the earth. She recognizes her calling as a seer and a prophetess, appointed to assist and help God shepherd his people.
Devin Calkins
Devin accepted the Lord around 8 years old. He spent most of his childhood growing up in the church. He was very involved in youth leadership in Jr High and high school, Served in youth leadership and played in the worship band. He has also participated in outreach efforts, including building homes in Mexico, and serving the homeless with the Salvation Army. Alongside his wife Dacia, Devin is faithfully following God's blue print as they build Light in the Darkness Ministry for the advancement of God's kingdom. Devin is passionate about restoring the importance of family unity, and believes strongly in bringing families back together in love and purpose .
Beliefs
At Light and the Darkness Ministry we value compassion, kindness, and acceptance. We believe in treating every person with respect and dignity. God offers his people healing, restoration ,transformation and a new life, each an expression of His great love for us . Our response is to walk in faith through surrender, repentance and prayer. God's compassion , kindness and mercy leads to healing of our human brokenness. Healing is not separate from our salvation but an essential part of it, as it reveals God's love and power in his people's lives .
